Quick! Who does this remind you of?
And this one is just funny, found at the same site:
...makes you wonder if the same artist would add V into that, doesn't it?

Re: Great News for Fans of The Shadow
Hee hee!
"In 1981, The Shadow became one of the acknowledged influences for V, the title character in V for Vendetta." (From the Wikipedia entry)
So I'm the only one posting to this thread... So what?

Hey I like that ButMad!!! V & the Shadow. Both cape swirlers and both have mad laughs. I watched The Shadow woth Alec Baldwin as Shadow/Lamont Cranston. That bit where Margo Lane sees into Lamont's past and there is what looks like a battle that happened a few hundred years ago. This has got me wondering...Is Lamont Cranston immortal? Hope this isn't a stupid question.

It didn't happen "a few hundred years ago" - a decade, maybe. Say.... 1920s China/Tibet? Remember that the movie is set in the 1930s.

No.

Re: Great News for Fans of The Shadow
Maybe V & The Shadow could join forces. Picture this: V, The Phantom & The Shadow in a bar. I wonder who'd get the first round in?

Re: Great News for Fans of The Shadow (or whatever)
Since this thread has mostly been me talking to myself and poinging anyway, I'm expanding it beyond The Shadow a bit. Because I wanted to go WHOO HOO! but not make a whole new thread.
WHOO HOO!!
The NINE books of Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files are... get this!... Books 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, AND 9 in today's Barnes and Noble's Daily Top Ten for Contemporary Fantasy! (Hint: The numbers in this sentence consist of two links.)

Nine of em, YAY!
I have read Storm Front, Fool Moon (cool scary werewolves!!) and Grave Peril. I have Summer Knight and Dead Beat in the queue.
And I have discovered video on iTunes!!! (god help my credit card. good thing I have A JOB!!!!!!
so I have seen Birds of a Feather (love those Crow People!) and Boone Identity. OK, so he is growing on me. How fun, to have such a rich series of tasty books and video. Thanks ButMad, for sharing!
I am off to bed with my latest cool book. Ysabel,
by Guy Gavriel Kay. It's off to a great start in a cathedral in Provence, with a clever teen protagonist being drawn into ancient mysteries. ooo, it has spirit wolves, too!

And I'm still a chapter and a half from finishing SF. Gee, you'd think I'm in the middle of a really hectic time or something.

*whispers* Season pass! ....Although, since Season 1 was only 12 episodes, I think it might actually be cheaper to buy them separately.... not sure.
I should download more of the eps - more money from iTunes might get SciFi's attention.
