Would YOU end up in Larkhill?

Why do we like this movie so much? There are of course many other reasons than Hugo Weaving being sexy and speaking with the Voice as the discussions on this board has shown during the past six months emoticon

I came to think of this earlier today: one of the reasons I like this movie so much, is because I probably would end up in some sort of Larkhill facility, if there were to be a Norsefire regime here in Denmark.

How about you? Would you end up in Larkhill? Or would you be perfectly safe in a country ruled by Norsefire?

Oh, I'd be one of the first against the wall! A bisexual atheist descended from Jewish and Roma stock? I'd have a black bag with my name on it for sure emoticon

Let's see, I'm not their version of a "christian" (don't consider myself christian at all, frankly, though I hold to the tenets more than their version of "christian" /rant), I'd probably be signing petitions and speaking out against them, and... who knows why else?

But at least I'd be in good company! emoticon

I'd be black bagged faster than you could say "johnny on the spot" due to my political beliefs, the art and music I have, and due to my religious beliefs (agnostic)

As Ol' Mark Twain said, "Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company."

I'd be there for reasons not listed. I'd probably be there just because I can think for myself and own books.

I'd be there for being a pagan and also for my political beliefs.

Someone please promise me you'll write me with your toilet paper, but be sure you bleach it before passing it to me. emoticon

As I think y'all have already figured out, I'm an independent thinker and I pretty much walk my own way. And I say my piece.

Hm...we need a black bag emoticon!

Re: Would YOU end up in Larkhill?

id probably be executed on the spot, without even bothering with the black bag notion *smirks* no doubt, theyd find me "irredeemable and dangerous," and thats just fine by me. my religious, political and social views are way outside the norm, and i have no problem standing up for what i believe in. this is particularly vexing to my grandmother, a Jehovah's Witness, whos absolutely certain that ill burn for all eternity *sighs wearily at the thought of all those lectures* yeah, id be blanketing the place in fliers, picketing, blowing up buildings if necessary... whatever *shrugs* dying doesnt matter, as long as you lived. and that cant just mean existence in the realm of "safe and normal"
