Re: Tattoos 'n' You
Are you allowed to get a tattoo at your age? Here you have to be 18 to get one, parental permission notwithstanding.

Really? My friend had her first tatoo done when she was 14 and got her first summer job! They didn`t even asked for parental permission, she just paid for it and got it!

Re: Tattoos 'n' You
I don't think I'll ever be able to get a tattoo. A couple years ago, I got one of those spray-on ones that last for about 10 days. Well, six days in, I was scrubbing away at it because it was driving me crazy. I just can't have anything permanent like that on my body. I even took out my earrings after a couple of weeks and let the holes grow in because I didn't like it.
It's too bad, really, because some tattoos are absolutely gorgeous. I watch that Miami Ink show every once in a while, and some of their creations are stunning. Oh well.

Re: Tattoos 'n' You
Where I live, you have to be 16 to get a tattoo, even with parental permission.
So, for my 16th birthday present, my parents are paying for my V tatoo.
My parents are cool, sometimes.

I'm quite sure they will say so.

Leda! Dont go out with Junkies anymore!!! jeez, take better care of yourself, try a masked homicidal terrorist for a change.
I have never thought of anything I cared deeply enough to get it emblazend permanantly on my hide, but there is the V-in-a-circle... and so now I am thinking...maybe.
all tattoos look to me like they grow blurry and bluish with time. how well does the red ink hold up?

Re: Tattoos 'n' You
I have a big red R (for Rainier beer, no less) on my shoulder that I got sometime in the early 80's.
About 2 years ago I had to have the red filled back in... It had faded to almost the same color as my skin.
The black outline has stood the test of time though.
I'd take a picture, but it's a hassle.
