For The Love Of V

It's now going on 6 months since most of us first became acquainted --- and then obsessed --- with the dashing and cultured "idea behind a mask". We've formed messageboards and friendships, scoured the Web for pictures, sniped on eBay for booty, and the most creative of us have even made our own T-shirts, masks, videos, Sims, paintings, poetry, and Viction. All of this, just to feed our burning desire for a fictional man known only as V.

So, as of right now, how would you rate your V/V4V obsession? emoticon

Just voted; mine is starting to wane, but then my obssession, er...devotion wasn't to the level as it is with some vixens here. I mean, gosh, paying large amounts of money to see V's Shadow Gallery in London? Sorry, I'm not at that level - not that there's anything wrong this that (perhaps it's more about developed friendships). Although I would like to visit England in general and Vienna, of course, Vienna. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Mine is just as powerful as it was the first moment I laid eyes upon him. Really. Most of the time, when I'm affected so deeply by something, it grows gradually...but not with V. The first time I ever saw the film, I walked out of the cinema looking like this: emoticon and have looked pretty much the same ever since... emoticon

Leda, the first time I saw the movie I was by myself and I looked the same way. I felt so overpowered by the movie and wanted to talk with everyone about it. I was tossing and turning for nights on end and even had a few dreams (don't remember them now). It was as if something dormant had awakened in me and I was trying to understand and process it. emoticon

Currently, I sort of wax and wane. If I don't see it for awhile, my viewing is renewed, (but not like the first few times). Sort of like not eating chocolate for a month. emoticon

I guess I can´t control certain aspects of V beiing in
my mind and life. I now ear the sountrack while
walking trough the house or when I wake up, It´s
like influxes of strength that keep me going above
negativism, and some times it´s more like I was inside
the movie, making it real, so to keep my strength.

Essentialy, V gives me strength. So I´m more in love.

krydiam, I can relate to what you wrote. The message and "energy" of V stays and is growing in me, so from that POV it is getting stronger. But the movie itself is waning for me.

It's still pretty strong. I just have the "absence makes the heart grow fonder" feeling right now. He's right up there with my Snape obsession and that's been for YEARS. LOL

I don't know if the word would be wanning for me. More like learning to control my outward obsession. And trying to focus it on more than the man in the mask. I've mentioned before having to express my love of the film to others through it's political message and the bitter-sweet love story of V and Evey. But my own passion for V, the man, still leaves me in tears...wishing I could be as him, wishing someone like him was a really real person. I'd follow him to death's door, and beyond. emoticon

And of COURSE I still lust after him! emoticon
