On that note, I'd give my right arm to be able to vote.
I sympathize, I really do. As I told you on Facebook, I turned 18 on the day that Clinton was inaugurated for his second term. (Every four years, I get a president for my birthday! I just wish America had kept the receipt on my last two gifts...) I so wanted to vote for him.
And then my first presidential election was 2000. Oh joy.
Re: Get Out And Vote My absentee ballot has been received, and now that I've finished reviewing the candidates in the local elections, it will be going out in the mail this coming Monday.
Regardless of the outcome *fingers crossed in fervent hope* 5th November 2008 will definitely be memorable!!
Re: Get Out And Vote This board should really be alive with chatter on November the 5th! I plan to stay up and watch the election returns at a bar in Brooklyn which is a notorious Democratic stronghold. Hopefully, I won't be too hung over the join in the discussion.
Re: Get Out And Vote I and Geoffrey, my Lawful Wedded Lord, will be in Kauai. We'll be intercutting V with the election results.
speaking of Lawfully Wedded, we voted against the gay marriage ban. A serious Christian can do no less, for the comfort and heart's-ease of our fellow citizens.
for Obama, of course.
and, really, for V V.
it's a local transit measure.
Re: Get Out And Vote I was up until 5am pestering Facebook trolls with other No on 8 people. But when KittyRoomie's dad showed up at 8:30am, I still dragged my butt out of bed and into some clothes.
I was back home and in bed again by 9am, my civic duty done.
