The church of V?

Today, I read through most of the posts on this message board. emoticon Wow.

From the fantastic to the downright fanatical (mostly the latter) the list of things this group has discussed, presented, painted and actually gone out and done is amazing... Sublime.... Insanely creative and inspiring.

If Alan Moore knew of this forum, and read even a tenth of it's content, I'm sure that he would be flattered and floored at what he helped to create. There are many tributes to V4V out there... But I think this place is a glittering gem in a pile of rocks.

Me, I'm about as bright as a small appliance bulb. I can't compose a creative sentence to save my life.
But I can come up with ideas. And then the beautiful and intelligent artists can run with it. They can make it something I never could.

Therefore, I leave it upto you to create the dogma of the First Church of V.

You read most of this stuff in one day?!? emoticon

"Wow" is right! I log on several times a day, and I still haven't read everything! (I tend to get side-tracked by all the links, but they're a lot of fun)

Well, I've read much of it before... But today I went over much of it again.
A lot of info to absorb for only 2 1/2 months of activity.

Okay...

First Commandment:
Thou shalt memorise the V speech.

Second Commandment:
Thou shalt try to convert everyone and everything thou meetest to the glory of V. Including cats, dogs and trees.

Third Commandment:
Thou shalt develop a strange and sudden urge to drop Shakesperean quotes into thy everyday conversation.

Fouth Commandment:
Thou shalt visit this forum with a regularity that verges upon OCD.

Vth Commandment:
Thou shalt do borderline certifiable things when thou art alone, such as snogging thy replica V mask (or maybe that's just me...)

Sixth Commandment:
Thou shalt contribute at least one witticism to the "Vendetta Photo Caption" thread.

Seventh Commandment:
Thou shalt go "Eeeeeee!" when thou spottest things that remind thou of classic moments in the film.

Eighth Commandment:
Thou shalt try thy hardest to attend the London '07 Convention (hint, hint)

Ninth Commandment:
Thou shalt cook and consume the angelic delicacy that is Eggy in a Basket.

Tenth Commandment:
Thou shalt have no other masked revolutionaries before V!

Too Christian-like.

(Remember, that's the mind-set that got us into all this trouble in the first place?)

How about more of a Mission Statement?

Such as:
"The purpose of the First Church of V is to enlighten the masses and celebrate the idea that the human race can and will evolve into a free and independent society. A society free of rules and regulations designed to oppress the weak benefit the powerful and rich.
V stands as our symbol and our hope for a better future.
"

And what about a Credo such as this:

"In V's name, we will overcome"

Plus throw in a few iconalastic figureheads, and Presto!- All you need to do is claim non-profit status and you're a bonifide church.

Am I completely mad or am I simply bored out of my mind?
