Re: The church of V?
Not to be a negative creep, cause your idea sounds charming- But didn't I read somewhere that Eggy in a basket was basically a wachowski brothers invention to make foolish American-types think that everyone in Engand had that meal for breakfast or something?
Ah yes, here it is:
"Alan Moore, co-creator of V for Vendetta, who has renounced the film version and lashed out at the poor "eggy in a basket" as culturally confused:
"They don't know what British people have for breakfast, they couldn't be bothered. 'Eggy in a basket' apparently. Now the US have 'eggs in a basket,' which is fried bread with a fried egg in a hole in the middle. I guess they thought we must eat that as well, and thought 'eggy in a basket' was a quaint and Olde Worlde version."

Re: The church of V?
I do have it for breakfast, just not all the time Furthermore, I was doing so before the film came out. Hell, I was doing so before the graphic novel came out!

Well there you go.
I guess that closes the chapter on that nasty little subject.

Re: The church of V?
Hey, I thought the Shadow Forum was the church of V! Religiously following said commandments on a daily basis before I knew there were any commandments.
Only today, I tried to convert a shop assistant who had the audacity to stock Tshirts of every band and movie known to man except, you guessed it! She squealed with delight when I mentioned a "Vendetta" Tshirt telling me how much she loved "that movie". I left the shop smiling that I had, in one moment of my day, spread some "Vlove".

Re: The church of V?
I'd suggest we avoid the church title altogether, except that maybe we might be able to get "Faith-Based initiative" money from the US govt.
Great commandments, Leda!
approved Spiritual practises:
repeating lines of dialog like mantra, such as:
"there is no coincidence, delia. only the illusion of coincidence."
shaving your head and living in a cel (the V monastery)
praying at the jukebox, or in a room filled with books

Re: The church of V?
I don't have a jukebox (unless a CD changer will work...) But I do have three rooms filled with shelves of books..
