Buy V's mask? I think not......i'll make it instead
check check check it out. Made one a generic mast purchased from michaels for four bucks, sculpted with paper clay. here's the snappys
Now, since this photo was taken , i've adjusted the mouth so that the lower lip meets the mustache a little better (hadnt realized the error until i took the shot)
currently this piece is cracking in a few places (nothing serious), but its starting to develop a dry wall type of exterior, and when stuff like that cracks, you cauk it. So i'm going to go by a tube of cauk and essentailly spackle in the cracks so its nice and smooth. THen i'll paint the details, then i'll put some schlack on it so that it looks smooth and shiny like porcelain. I'll then attach that straps and it will be wearable.
side note: there are wholes in the nostrils, so yes i can breath, also there is an air escape beneath the chin to minimize the sweat.
this mask cost me about 20 bucks and two hours to make (sculpted it while watching the chronicles of narnia ;P)

i pulled the thing off its base today and flipped it over. Its still very wet (that clay has to dry clean through). Its a bit split from where the clay over lapped on it (which taught me a good technique for when i do this next time). I'm totally going to put that spackle on the inside as well, seal it with a non toxic coat of laquer so it wont break my face out, then put the black mest over the eyes so i can see hout and they cant see in.
i also put the tiny slit in the mouth. Makes breathing so much easier.

codenameviola: lol, not for sale. Legally, i don't think i could sell them anyway. I could, however, give them away as gifts and just charge for time spent. I'm not sure how all that works out though.
