I was thinking along the lines of what a typical search would be for a place like this.
I type "V for Vendetta forum" in google, and we're not anywhere around.
So I narrow it down..
I type "V for Vendetta Runboard" and there are no results for this forum.
I type "V for Vendetta message board" and we're not anywhere around.
I type "Ladies of the shadow gallery" (which a person would not search for if looking for a forum about V4V) and there's 2 entries. One is a reference to the MySpace group, the other is the wikipedia entry I put in a few weeks ago.
My point is- when I put this place together I added as many taglines and codewords about this being a V for Vendetta forum as I could. It amazes me that with over 10,000 posts based on the subject, that this forum would fail to appear in a google search for a Vendetta forum.
I'm searching with filters off, in English, with 100 results per page.

You know... I was just searching again... And I realized something.
It's not always a good thing to be popular. Or obvious.
Because when a messageboard becomes easily accesible to any 13 year old with a WebTV, the quality starts declining at a rapid rate.
So far, the members we have here have come to us by clicking links in other V-related forums.. And their curiosity and desire to find a better discussion lead them here. And the group we have is great.
Is it really a good thing to open the door to every hillbilly out there? Probably not. Probably better to remain snobbish.
Therefore, I kinda hope this forum never shows up on Google as a result of a search for V for Vendetta.

I second that! people will came here, maybe at a slow
rate, but they will come. The ritgh people I guess.
and I do sense we have a lot of "pass by" visitors.
the ratio of some topic views versus the number of
members crearly proves that.

I was actually thinking the same thing just after Leda started this thread.

even talks about the streams!. And it´s 1st results!.

last nigth, and...
we´re not only on yahoo now...we´re everywhere, lol.
one of the 1st results is quite...interesting...so are some
others, lol...
