Where will we be a year from now?
I've been mulling over the future of our Shadow Gallery community, of our Board, since last week when the question of moving our location presented itself.
So where are we going? Where do we want to go, what do we want to see happen with our virtual hangout? What can we grow up to be?

Re: Where will we be a year from now?
Heck, I don't even know where I'll be IRL over the next 3 months! I haven't given this much thought, Ven, but I do see posting decreasing and I am sort of sad about it. Although, there is just so much ANALyzing of V4V one can do. I do like this board a lot because it has other sections where one can discuss other topics and get to know the other members better.
Many of you have become friends off-board and even met IRL, so there might be friendships developing separately.
I think as long as my life doesn't get too busy and there are still interesting members and topics to discuss, I'll stay around. But truthfully, how long can we actually discuss V4V?

Man, I've thought of this since the second week I was here. LOL I've always been the eternal pessimist.
I hope that this board will stick around in one form or another because it's become like a "Cheers" for me to hang out and be me.

*breaks into song*
Making your way on the 'Net today takes everything you’ve got
Taking a break from all those websites, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn’t you like to hide away?
Sometimes you want to post where every Vixen knows your name,
And they’re always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see, our obsessions are all the same
You wanna be where every Vixen knows your name.
You wanna go where Vixens know, Vixens are all the same,
You wanna go where every Vixen knows your name.
(not my best work, but I'm in a hurry. )

Nice singing, Butmad I never thought I would have stayed this long, but I like the friendly company here, I like the fact that we can discuss everything that's on our mind, we have our Movie Club (which I think will begin to flourish once we reach winter) and we share so many other things than V4V.
That's why I think this board will continue to exist and we'll continue to "hang out".

Does that make me Norm? .... well, I'm here a lot (have the most posts), so maybe I am Norm....
My parents and I dubbed a moth "Norm" during a camping trip once.... but that's an entirely different (though "Cheers"-related) story.
And FSF, I agree - it's amazing how many interests we all share outside of just V, so I don't see this group going anywhere for a good long while.

That was a question that got asked in our first few weeks of operation, as I recall. And the truth is that nobody knows...although I'll say this. Not too long ago, I happened across a thriving message board dedicated to "The Thing", a film now 24 years old. It can happen

Re: Where will we be a year from now?
I will be here till the end, meaning, as long as there is
only one single poster arround.
Look, you have teached me how I must grow, how
much imature I still am, and I need that.
My interests here in many trheads are mainly reading
to learn your points of view, they complete me.
I have good laughs also. (the photo manipulation,
for example, and many others.)
Well, of course I position myself as the suplier of stuff,
(though Leda made a good team work on that one )
I love seeing Butmad thinkingh and taking aspirines
to understand some, well, dificult to understand topics.
Sorry about the headheaches though, really.
Oh, and of course, this is a Lady´s board, so, heck, I
just have serious genetic trouble leaving it.
I have always seen the story of this board as a side
-timeline that somehow links to the movie. Make no
mistake, I am crazy enough to follow it till the end.
I am a bit crazy, you know? I´m not here for the fun
only, I´m here to pay respect to our heros, I live their
ideias very strong, because of the love they have to
eachother.
On a side note, I do live alone, have planty of spare
time, and do not love my government, or others
governments. Though affected by some experiments,
I´m recovering, (thank´s V, for that).
But fear not. I´m not a mean psycopatic person. I do
know what is rigth and what is wrong, I strongly do
believe that God does not play with dice, and we do
make sugar of the devil himself many times.
...Tell me, ladies, do you enjoy music? you see, I´ve
been preparing some special events for the days to
come...
...you see, media instruments are my speciality, but
soon I plan to call many of the instruments of the
"orquestra" to those particulary days...
...nothingh special really, after you can return home safely...
