Re: Interrogation Room

For me it's a tie between:

"What we do in life echoes in eternity" from Gladiator

and

"Words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth." from our favorite movie.

Do you quote movies/tv shows a lot, or not at all?

I finished The Mermaids Singing on lunch yesterday. You were right ButMad, it was very good. Some of the torture scenes made me uncomfortable, although they didn't squick me out right. Started The Wire in the Blood this morning. I think my reading speed has decreased a little as I get older, but I suspect it is directly related to the increase in me being easily distracted. It just took me a little over a month to read that book, whereas normally it would take me a week (if only reading on my lunch half hour) or a day or so if I was also reading it on my down time. emoticon Guess I just need more hours in the day for reading. emoticon

emoticon Most of my life is made up of pop culture references. (I knew Mel and I would get on when she not only got my references, but made a reference that I'm always making that's never understood by those around me.) Besides the fact that I have a freakish memory for quotes and things, I also find them to be excellent shorthand. Instead of a long-winded explanation about something, I can turn to my sister and say, "Remember on Friends when Joey did such-and-such? Yeah, it's like that." And be instantly understood.

(Glad you're enjoying Tony & Carol, Iseult! emoticon)

Most frustrating crush you've ever had? And why was it frustrating?

Probably my crush on Gregory Peck as a teenager. Wanted him sooooo bad and knew he could never be mine. emoticon

Move to England, be a published novelist, marry a nice guy, travel... not in that order!

Y'know, this is called "Interrogation Room," and yet no one's asked:
Where were you on the night of 5 November, 2007? emoticon

emoticonWell, I don't know about you ButMad (not true), but I was in the park across from Parliament. . .

Which interrogation technique would you be better at: Silent or Guilt? (thanks to my Interviews and Interrogations class my answer is Silent, due to having a younger brother emoticon )

If I'm the first one home, let the dogs out of their crates and put them outside. If I'm not the first one home, I fire up my computer and check my email.

Do you turn all the lights on in your house, or only turn on lights that are absolutely necessary?

I try to keep it to only necessary lights, but things happen.

For lunch at work, do you "brown bag" it or buy?
