Re- not getting it.
Adonis = victim: his religion included annually killing him, something like Guy Fawkes. also of course a name for someone very attractive
Azreel - the Arabic variant of the Angel of Death [Azrael]. I just liked the vowel variant better. A handsome villain
Annanke - Greek personification of Fate or Necessity, as a kind of goddess. it's pronnounced an-ang-kay
Arcana- secrets
Ablation - a medical word for destroying; you could have an ablation of your thyroid for certain diseases.
Anthropo-phagoi : man-eaters
Almandine; from cooking, a dish with almonds. for vichyssoise.
Anamnesis- 'not-amnesia', remembrance. it's the greek in "do this in remembrance of me". And V is said to be an amnesiac, so this plays on that.
I'm quite sure they will say so
