Love it, love it!
Surely, these speeches, structured by such sirens, stand me spellbound and stupefy my senses. Oh, ye gods, it's catching! I'm fairly pleased I came up with that sentence without running for my thesaurus, though! Wonderful jobs by all! I may have to try one...
(EDIT: Ah, hell! Okay, I hereby reserve..... R. I'll give it a shot.)
Only other comment I have is that you all seem to be using for your base a version of the speech that differs from the movie (which does not include the "vis a vis an introduction" bit). Not that that's a huge deal, but in case you want it:

Click here to hear V's delivery (Thanks, FSF!)
Voila! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition!
The only verdict is vengeance - a vendetta - held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose. So let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you, and you may call me V.

Erm... actually the film version is the one I used... or at least thought I did - and thought the same for Vel and Melindakitty too.

It's weird. When I heard it the first time, I KNOW that the line was in there, as well as "vis a vis an introduction", but when I saw it in IMAX, both the "...what they once villified" and the "vis a vis" lines were pointedly missing.
I'm wondering if there are different edits, because One of my traits is a near-photographic memory for dialogue. I can quote whole movies.
I stuck with the long one because it's what I found the first time and it's a greater challenge. FWIW
And ButMadNNW for the lovely words.

Re: A, B, C, V
Melinda - Ooh, 'that they once villified' rings a bell - I think I read that in the novelisation? So it would have been in the earlier script - I wonder if there were edits made to the film after it was released?
NNW - The bit I used is the part you posted.

Melinda, understood. Bohwea, my apologies. In my defense, it was 4:35am when I posted that, so I wasn't paying as close attention as I should have. I was just trying to be helpful; No offense or insult was intended to anyone; but if nothing else, there's the speech for anyone else who wants to join in on this thread and needs the text for reference (and so we have the letter V included on the thread). And I triple-checked it against the audio file I have. But feel free to ignore me if you wish. ::slinks off into the corner to hide::
Yeah... I have a great memory (though not photographic) for dialogue, too, which made the following all the more disconcerting to me... At first, I got myself all confused about the "once villified" part. I have this vague feeling that I heard that the first time I saw the movie, but I didn't retain much of the speech the first time, as I was too busy just enjoying it to soak it in, and I wondered if I may have tricked myself into believing I'd heard "villified" because it is in the novelization and people on IMDb kept including it when posting the speech. I don't recall hearing it in any other viewing of the movie (9 total so far - I saw it 3 times at the theatre where I first saw it, once each at two other normal theatres, and 4 times at the same IMAX), and I don't recall ever hearing the "vis a vis" part. My intense confusion is what led to me acquiring the audio file, so I could learn it and clear up my confusion.
I don't think I've ever heard of a movie being edited after release (after all, they'd have to re-send it to all the theatres, wouldn't they?) and I don't know why they would, but I suppose anything's possible. ...I think I'll just shut up now...
(Side note: Hee hee! I'm watching Mad About You, and Paul is comparing the picture between two TVs - he had Jamie turn on the 2nd TV and asked what she was seeing. She replied, "Benny Hill," and I heard *the music*.)

Regard! Upon reflection, a retiring renaissance reveler, requisitioned remotely as recurrent refugee and rogue by the randomness of Fate. This representation, no mere rind of radiance, is a remnant of the rabble’s response, now resigned, removed. However, this righteous revelation of a retired rebellion rises revived and has resolved to rout these rapacious and rancorous reprobates renewing repugnance and rendering the rampantly revolting and ravenous ruin of resolution!
The only ruling is retribution - a retaliation - rationalized as a realization, not ridiculous, for the relevance and reality of such shall one day release the resolute and the righteous.
Really, this rush of rubbish results most rambling. So let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you, and you may call me R.

(How'd I do? That took me a lot longer than I thought it would, and caused several brain cramps and the juggling of multiple reference books. LOL But it was fun! I humbly ask to reserve N for my next one.)
