I have a somewhat odd suggestion. Rene Auberjonois.

Who, you say? He's a character actor that's been around for ages (yeah, he's getting on a bit), but the guy is incredibly talented. I really noticed him on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Odo. It's a part that required him to act behind a prostethic mask that allowed very little facial expression most of the time, but he's a veteran stage actor and knows how to use his body to act. Now, I don't think he could bring quite the hotness that Hugo did, but he does excellent voice work and can really act. Check out his IMDB profile if you're curious. The man's been around the block several times. emoticon

Hugo for me too! He was the best choise.
Though if I really had to pick another actor I think that would be Ralph Fiennes. He has a smooth voice as well, a high ennglish accent and he's also a great actor!

Ooh Ralph Fiennes, I hadn't thought of him - but a very good choice!!

 emoticon emoticon Huuurayyy choco mousy!!

Well he was an easy choise. I had the chance to see him in theatre in London two years ago and he left me breathless with his acting and especially with his stature. And this year I saw him in Constant Gardner and well he was magnificent! And he has a very beautiful voice.

Though I liked Hugo a lot and I don't think I would change him

Hugo is it for me. I could not imagine another actor playing the role.

After all, he is the reason I love V so much. emoticon

Please forgive me for repeating myself :

'' I don't think anyone would want a different V (I certainly wouldn't ;) , it's just a question of 'if you had to pick someone else, who would it be? ''

Think of it as an exercise of the imagination. emoticon

Oh, all right. Assuming that I've been subjected to extreme nipple torture and forced to pick someone else to don the mask and twirl the blades, I pick Vincent Perez.

Well, if I have to pick, I would say Clive Owen. I like his voice.

I know who I'd choose. If, for some reason it couldn't have been Hugo, I know who I'd choose.
A fabulous actor...
very adaptable...
...very sexy voice...

It could only be Sean Beeeeeeeeeeean. emoticon

Sean Bean? Well, okay, just as long as he could shift the accent. Much as I worship the ground that V kills people on, I don't think I would have been quite so impressed had he sounded like a Hovis advert.
