It's an amazing site! Too bad there's no forum for the fans.
Oh well, I supoose that's why there are places like this.

I love that site because of the pictures and the movie trailers --- I play those a LOT!! (it will seem like an eternity before this movie comes out on dvd....... will I last that long?!?) There is a section there called TalkBack for people to leave their comments but as usual it has turned into a political forum, which brings the mud-slinging with it. Blech!!! That's why I'm so grateful that this site has been created, to celebrate all things V!!!!!

I know for a fact that I can't wait till it comes out on DVD which is why I searched high and low for a burned copy of the movies. However the quality sucks... but it should get me through.

I really like the fact that the site has so many pictures, most official movie sites have only a few.

Plus it's just a killer site. Whoever put it together was awesome.
To tell the truth, after seeing it, I became really disillusioned about creating a site for this forum.... I mean, nothing I could do could ever compare to that.
And why create something inferior?

I think it's better to just have an active forum for the fans since that's the only thing the official site seems to be lacking. And people like to talk about what interests them... Static websites, no matter how cool, get old after a while... Forums never get old as long as there is fresh discussion in them.

Am i the only one who thinks the site isn't that good? Yes there are a lot of pictures and extras, but the layout seems a little to simple. They should've used more flash..

Since my connection blows, I'm kind of glad there isn't more flash. emoticon

But anyway, I'm a bit disappointed in the site too. I mean, it has LOTS of great pics and trailers, but it's lacking in certain areas. I would like to see some clips from the film, a merchandising link for heaven's sake!, better desktops, and journal/AIM icons. I wanted to download an icon for the forum, but they don't have any like on other sites.

And, this is not linked to site construction, would it have killed anyone to MAKE SOME MERCHANDISE???? (sorry for the caps. It gets me so mad). I thought for sure Hot Topic would get some rights or at leas the WB store. I know there's a high priced mask replica but that's about it, and maybe a future action figure may be coming out (which I will get...thud).

Okay, rant over. relax.....relax.....

Action figure! And until this point I'd been restraining all my idle fantasies about an action figure. Hm. V on my bedside table; would I ever sleep again, or just spend the whole night gazing at him like Juliet on her balcony?

It'd have to be a twelve inch one. And no, that's not a double entendre, for once emoticon

I know!! The second time I went to see the movie, it was the Monday after it opened. Upon leaving the theatre, I stopped at Borders to look for a novelization, the GN, the soundtrack CD... I spent an hour wandering around in the store, and all I could find was a paperback of the GN.

I finally hunted down an employee and told her that the customer-use computer said all three were in stock, so where were they? She checked her computer, and discovered that the soundtrack was being released the next day (Tuesday), and they only got 2 copies! Sounding very frustrated, she said, "They don't seem to realize we're located right next to a movie theatre, and people come in looking for the soundtrack!"

But what had me stymied was that the CD wasn't released until AFTER the movie had been out for 4 or 5 days! Usually they're released before, as part of the advertising buildup to the movie!

Beyond that, it seems to me that the mask would be a natural merchandising boon - if I do not see V costumes in stores come October, I'll fall over in shock.

The whole thing is very odd.

Although I have to point out, ButMad, that I don't think you'll see many V costumes for hire, rather than for sale. Not that there wouldn't be a big market, you understand, it's just that if I were a shopkeeper, I don't think I'd be confident getting it back again:

"Why is this cloak so damp and crumpled? You did WHAT in it? And what's this all over the mask - lipstick?!"

...or maybe that's just me emoticon
