The kings moments
Whats your fav moment in Return of the king for those of you who've seen it.
WARNING! SPOILERS!
My fav moment is when aragorn talks to his troops at the Black Gate and gives the whole 'there shall be a day when the strength of men fail,but it is not this day' speech. I don't remember all the words but that was a good speech and the whole battle scene was excellent.

Yeah. I've seen the trailer for RotK so many times, so I've memorised part of it:
'I see in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me!... A day may come, when the courage of men fail; when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day... This day, we fight!'
I've seen Return of the King twice already. Man, that movie was amazing... I loved the whole Mount Doom scene, and Shelob's Lair. Very intense. And, of course, the end brought me to tears (as did Pippin's song). Like, when Aragorn and Arwen were married, and the Grey Havens scene.... I guess it's a gir.l thing, or something...

Yeah i know what you mean. I almost cried. It was so sad! especially the grey havens scene. I think I may have shed a couple tears at that part. I loved the part with Arwen and Aragorn at the end too...........sniff...sniff.....

I have to say, I think that scene with Aragorn talking to the soldiers before the Black Gate was a bit corny and too reminecent of Braveheart.
Personally, I love the scene where Eowyn finishes off the Captain of the Nazgul!

*Eowyn rips off her helmut and throws it to the ground.*
Eowyn: "You look upon a woman!"
*Eowyn thrusts her sword into the cowl of the Nazgul and he disintegrates.*

Yay! I almost got up and cheered, "You go girl!!!" right there in the theater!
Of course, then you have Theoden's death scene, which always makes me cry.

I cried when Theoden died....and the Grey Havens. That was so sad.
Anyway, and I liked when Legolas, Gimli, and Aragorn were in the Paths of the Dead.

Teehee. And I liked the part where Legolas killed the Oliphaunt and Gimli said, 'That only counts as one!'
Ahh....yep.

You gotta love that little competition between Gimli and Legolas!
Morwen, you should go see the quotes section, it's called "Saruman's Guidance." There are quotes from Legolas & Gimli, Gandalf & Frodo, and others. Add your own favorite quotes. I love seeing what scenes and quotes everyone likes best!
