Gimli & Legolas

This scene occurs at the end of The Two Towers (the movie), when Gimli and Legolas are in the battlefield that is littered with corpses:

quote:

Legolas: "Final count - 42."

Gimli: "42! Oh, that is good for a pointy-eared elf princeling. I, myself, am sitting pretty on 43."

*Legolas frowns at Gimli.*

*Twang - Legolas shoots an arrow at the Urukhai body Gimli is sitting on.*

Legolas: *Smiles.* "43."

Gimli: "He was already dead!"

Legolas: *Defensively* "He twitched."

Gimli: "He twitched because he's got my axe embedded in his nervous system!" *Gimli moves his embedded axe back and forth making the urukhai's legs and arms jerk.*

Love that scene!!! emoticon

Tiny little fly,
Caught in a web.
Why does it cry?
It will soon be...eaten.

*gasp* What's this on his jacketses...?

Here's another Gimli & Legolas quote. It's taken from Helm's Deep as the Urukhai are standing in front of the walls and the war is about to start:

quote:

Gimli: *Trying to Jump up to see over the wall* "What's happening out there?"

Legolas: *Grins. Looks at Gimli.* " Would you like me to describe it to you or shall I get you a box."

Gimli: *Looks at Legolas. Grins, then chuckles* "Hehehehehehe." (love that chuckle!).

Yeah, so do I... it's almost like a growl, kind of... I love this part at Helm's Deep:

Gimli: Oh, come on, we can take 'em!
Aragorn: It's a long way.
Gimli: [peeks over the side] *mutters* Toss me.
Aragorn: What?
Gimli: I cannot jump the distance! You'll have to toss me! [pauses] Wait, don't tell the Elf?
Aragorn: Not a word.

Love that one too Arwen! Here's another one. It actually occurred just before the previous quote I posted on Gimli & Legolas:

quote:

Gimli: "You could've picked a better spot"

Legolas: *Grins*

*Aragorn walks up*

Gimli: [to Aragorn]"Lad, and the luck you live by. Let's hope it lasts through the night."

Legolas: "Your friends are with you Aragorn."

Gimli: "Let's hope they last the night."

Those two were quite the pair. Made for many great quotes throughout all three movies!
