Jews in the Government of the United States
As of 9/29/05, the date of my composing and first posting this article on the Internet:
Jews constitute Less than 3 percent of the total population in the United States.
The following information and lists do not pertain to or include the Jews within the hired Bureaucracy, who are closely estimated to hold 90 percent of the “key” positions in terms of personal secretaries, personal clerks, personal confidantes, personal astrologers, personal researchers, appointment schedulers, telephone and mail screeners, form-letter senders, background-investigators, resumé-approvers, recommendation-makers, and other jobs and positions that make them privy to the personal and professional thinking of individual members of the Elective and Appointive Offices in all three branches of the American Government.
This pertains to and names only the Elective and Appointive Office-holders within the three Branches of the United States Government.
11 out of 100 US senators are Jewish (including both senators from California).
26 out of 435 Members of The House of Representatives are Jewish.
There were/are 7 Jews as U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
There were 61 Jews in the William J. Clinton Administration.
There are at least 25 Jews in the George W. Bush Administration.
The following lists do not include the ones who are part-Jewish, or the ones who are married to Jews.

Like in the cases of Katie Couric and Meredith Viera, one cannot tell who is part-Jewish, or who is married to a Jew, just by reading their surnames (or just by looking at their faces).
I understand that even General Colin Powell has at least one Jewish ancestor, which would partially explain his rapid rise as a politician in the Bush Administration.
