Welcome, one and All!
Drop by, say hello. Take a look around, nitpick.
It's all good.
I do have a question for anyone who cares to put in an opinion ...
I gave the Storns a firecontrolling ability. I've been reminded that their probable laran was the ability to overshoadow (possess) people at a distance. Which do you think I should go with? THe canon ability or the firestarting one? Think about game balance - if you were playing a Storn, which would you want? If you were playing *with* a Storn, which would you want?

Re: Welcome, one and All!
Aren't they said to be a sept of the Aldarans? So in my opinion their primary gift should be that of precognition or clairvoyance. A minor gift a lot of the storns have is weather- control as there is Rockraven - blood in them. In that way the fire - starting would actually make a kind of sense , but where did ye get the overshadowing from?

Re: Welcome, one and All!
The Overshadowing ability comes from The Winds of Darkover, per Piedro and - when I was reminded - my memory. Loran Storn telepathically takes over a Terran, Daniel, from a great distance - hence, technically, overshadowing is more canon than what I came up with.
It's one of her earliest books written and I'd forgotten about it almost entirely.
The Storn family, I think, is supposed to be very old - possibly older than the Alderans, though they owe loyalty to that Domain family.

Yup, and Piedro had to remind me.
