Terrans about Darkovans
For Terrans, Darkover is dark. The violet skies and red sun tint everything oddly. The cold, even in the 'warm' seasons is startling and the winters are … indescribable. There are knives and swords everywhere and the men fight at the drop of a hat, the language is bizarre and the women are too dang shy!
There's no one to turn to if you need help on Darkover and everyone acts like you’re a child or a coward when you complain about that. The way women are treated is ludicrous and children are wandering around with daggers at their hips - but you can't even carry a taser off the 'port grounds!
Darkovans are superstitious; believing all kinds of stories about red-clad witches and magic powers. They're reactionary and suspicious, rejecting even common sense concepts like public education and a decent judicial system.
