Coach House, Killin - 30.6.07
God I love playing the Coach House!! What a cracking gig!! It's always the same, we turn up, see the pool table, go "Oh God" but it's amazing how we fit around it.
As usual, the crowd were absolutely brilliant and a pleasure to play for - all credit to the Robinson's, they've built a fantastic atmosphere with the Coach House.
As Andy said, this has to have been one of the best gigs so far this year! There were a few playing glitches and a technical glitch in that the audience were listening to our monitor mix for the first few songs... Bah! Technology!!
All in all it was a lovely balmy Scottish summer evening in Killin - yeah, that's right, it pished down! Still the welcome and the temperature inside were the extreme side of warm!!
Right, special mention time... Great to see Mr & Mrs Robinson, Kerry, Kim... AND WAITRESS!!! Close to the end of our second set, Maria came in... YAY!!! All is well in the world! We obviously teased her about not being there sooner and told her she'd have to take the night off when we're in town!! Anyway, it's been about a year since we were last in Killin and Maria was stunned (or is that stunning - yeah, stunning) that we remembered her!! How the hell could we forget you Maria? You're lovely and gorgeous! Thanks for being our friend!! Anyway, I was delighted to give Maria one... A CD that is!!
Right, until next time... We'll be back on 31st August, slightly different kind of material - AND WE CAN'T WAIT!!
