Oh, by the way, Died In Your Arms - this was a complete accident which I (1) didn't think would work and (2) wouldn't be accepted by the guys as it was a bit of a diversion even then...

I THINK (and I emphasise only think) that it was one of Andy's work colleagues that came up with the name - maybe because we do The Darkness? The Darkness / The Shine.... That's my only reasonable thought.
Plus it's a bit more catchy than Mr N's Enormous Nob! Fit's on posters better too and has a bit more user friendly logo!!!

Hi all,
Just to prove I'm not too shy!!!
I was running names past a a friend at work after we set up the band and she picked up a quote from a supplier called Shine International and said,how about Shine, which we tweaked to The Shine to avoid confusion with the Canadian Rock band of the same name
Nice to see another face on the site. We like leather here. Neil in fact wore out the crotch on his leather trousers at a gig
