TONY IS COMING TO HOLLAND
What about this, copied from our local newspaper. It's about a Beatlesday in the little village of Blokker, where the Beatles had a concert in June 1964. They're not coming of course, but guess who is? Oh, and me of course... It's only fifteen minutes away from where I live.
Beatles terug in Blokker
The Beatles zijn op 23 juni weer even terug in Blokker. Dat wil zeggen, hun geest zal weer dwalen door de de veilinghal waar ze in 1964 hun legendarische, enige concert gaven, en hun muziek zal klinken tijdens Blokkerbeat.
Geen ex-Beatle zal er zijn, maar wel Tony Sheridan, die begin jaren zestig, voor de grote doorbraak, met de Fab Four samenwerkte en een plaat uitbracht.
Organisator zijn de Beatle-fanaten Azing Moltmaker en Henk Klijn.
Ze hebben een reeks bands gecontracteerd die de muziek van The Beatles naspelen danwel naar hun eigen hand zetten. Uit Praag komt The Beatles Revival.

The Beatles will be back in Blokker on June 23rd. Meaning: their spirit will be back in the venue where they played two concerts in June 1964 and their music can be heard on the festival called Blokkerbeat.
No former Beatle will be present, but Tony Sheridan will. Tony recorded and co-operated with The Beatles before they became world famous stars.
The festival is being organized by Beatlefans Azing Moltmaker and Henk Klijn. They have contracted a series of bands who're covering the music of the Beatles or their own interpretations. From Prague (Czech Republic) comes The Beatles Revival.
