uh,first poem

sweet sweet blanket of death
carressing me holding me as only a lover would
pulling me ever so gently into the calm surrender of darkness
only for me to reawaken
with my true love standing above me
a worried look on his face
as though I'm dead
as though I wil not reawaken
I have though
I try to say something
but the words there are none
I'm choking now
I can't breathe
everything is falling into blackness
my love he has left me
I see him going about his everyday life now
no sparkle in his eyes
no joy to be found
as if there never really was any at all

Cameron, this is really very good. The first 3 lines are beautiful:

sweet sweet blanket of death
carressing me holding me as only a lover would
pulling me ever so gently into the calm surrender of darkness

They stir the emotions and create a very seductive image.

I hope you will write more and post them here.
