The Unattainable
Dizzy and running from post to post
Slipping down and down again
Where do I go that I can find peace
Where can I go to be me
Places I've searched and lived in
Homes that had ease or pain
All of them great in ways I loved
None of them right for me
The people I saw and met under my mask
Joyous and vibrant, it was wonderful
We took our tolls together
But fell at separate times
Sick of trying to find my place
Tired of the mask that conceals my face
There's no where to go to find my own peace
I can't be me, I must change
