Sold
She smiled so brightly
To everyone as she passed
Hugged her friends
Their very last
Took the long way home
Admiring the trees
Laughing loudly out
But a shaking in her knees
Turned the little key
Walked inside her house
Took away all her things
Put on her favourite blouse
Breathing so hard and
Heart pouding an unsteady beat
Quietly pulled her way to her tub
Slowly dragging her feet
Turning the knob
Plugging the drain
Sitting quietly inside the water
Ready for her last pain
Slowly waiting for the water
To touch her gentle head
Let tears flow from her face
Waiting to be dead
Turning the water off
With the razor in her hand
Slits down her arm
Waiting to be damned
The freedom of the blood
Streaming from her being
Tears dried on her face
But still not seeing
The cold finally leaves
While the numb settles in
Finally warm and the anxiety gone
Feeling so good must be a sin
Eyes drooping steadily
The trembling slowed its pace
Red tinted water
Covering her face
Coming home to see
The perfect princess gone
Leaves the people shocked
Disturbed for so long
No one knew to come
To her aid when she smiled
Only when she cried and cried
Insults begun to pile
She held it in until
It became to much to hold
Gave herself to fear
From the beginning she was sold
