Words
Do you say it when,
When you're done with the deed?
When your body is still shaking,
And the ecstacy still lingers?
I don't.
I stay where I am laying,
While someone begins to stand.
We're both panting,
We're both tired,
But someone stands.
The bittersweet scent of the world,
Mingled into the heat.
It makes me shiver in confusion.
But someone stands,
Someone speaks so softly.
Such kind eyes watching me,
As I lay where I am staring up.
Lips begin to move,
I can not hear the sound.
I smile.
Confusion,
But pleasure sweeping the face.
I smile.
Kissing softly,
And saying good-night.
I smiled,
And missed the importance.
I missed the reason for survival,
But I do not miss it.
I do not miss the words,
That so greatly change lives.
Nay,
The word is lost within the moment.
Words forever buried under the lust.
But do you say it,
Say it after you have done the deed?
