Rape
Look, okay? I have decided this is nothing to be ashamed of and that if YOU think it is, kiss my ass. (Hopefully, lucas, that was w/i reason...) I was raped when I was 13 and although I know I am the only member right now, and this hasn't much of a point, I want to say this for anyone just passing through, especially if it has happened to you... I am here to talk... Ineed to talk about it as well... I just told my parents and they PUNISHED me and I KNOW it was wrong of them to react that way, and if YOU need ne help, come to me and we can work through it... obviously I will be waiting a while... hell, I will prolly delete this once I realize what it actually says, btu if you get this before then, I AM HERE!

Of course rape is nothing to be ashamed of, i'm sorry what you have gone through and i hope you don't delete this. I have not been raped yet was pressurised into sex at a young age and have regretted it since. Rape happens in many different ways and circumstances and it will effect your entire life. Its impoirtant for you to talk about it and that you understand you didn't do anything wrong. I'm here if you want to talk.

Ok I have only told this to about 3 people and know I am makeing it like public and its really weird for me to do this but I was when I was 14 whenever I hear the word I still cringe .. I was also punished in a manner .. My parents couldnt stand looking at me they wouldnt admit it but I knew it was going through their minds so I got sent to live with my gran .. Im glad someone finally had the courage to post this board .. I wouldnt be able too !

It's all about power and control. Dominance. The person doing the raping is asserting their control over you, saying that you are less than they are, that you are powerless. It gives the rapist a feeling of superiority and dominance--of control. Often rapists are people who have no real power or control in their lives. Never about sex--always about power and control.

Rape is vile. Obviously, but that's the first thing that came to mind here.
And it amazes me (in a bad way) how many people are raped/sexually abused. It's more than what is thought, and it makes me ill.
