my wonderful complication
there really are no words sometimes
to tell of all that's in my heart
I wish I could show you all I feel
show you all that fills my soul
of how you look and feel to me
in this darkness here we've been
with only words and care between us
we've laughed and shed many tears
spoken without words and only sighs
we've loved one another in our own way
with words of comfort in times of need
made smiles when the hurts went deep
and held each other however we could
when holding was all that was needed
whispered words of love and life
and all that lays between us
we've come so far the two of us
from nothing to more than everything
I've held you close to all of me
and dear to my heart you've become
a cherished soul before me stands
my wonder is never weary or ceasing
of all I see when I hold you close
a love unmeasured by any means
it comforts and sustains me
for when our time has passed us by
and our hearts in friendship lie
I'll cherish still these memories
of you of me and all we share
from past and present to what lies ahead
friends, lovers and friends again
