I wear a mask
I wear a mask
That you can't see
It hides the real and true me
It only laughs and smiles it never crys
It hides all the pain I feel inside
You look at me and pass me by
Because you only see the smiles
And not the tears inside
The me you think you know is a lie
But no one knows of the screams I scraem inside
The happy go, lucky me is a lie I tell and see
But what would you do if you knew the real me?
Would you feel sorry, or pitty?
Or would you just look at me like a poisonous bug that needs to be squshed dead?
Or would you want to hug me, and cuddle me, hold me close and smother my screams?
I guess the question I long most to ask is ..
Would you still love me if you saw beyond the mask?
