OK, I am here now
Where is the best place to pick up on what is going on. I have heard Pai magazine is a good source, but trying to find that is a task on it's own.
Bobby's Bar in Ikebukuro is a fun place, although speaking to Bobby, he doesn't do the gaijin nights anymore... aparently there aren't enough around.

Re: OK, I am here now
well, this week i don't know of a lot of ****.
sunday is this amazing punk show where everyone has a huge mohawk, 1981 UK wanna-be guys.
also there's an amazing art show at roppongi, all the sort of 'new and shiny and anime looking' japanese artists are showing there, at ROPPONGI CROSSING.
and of course i'd advise you to go to KAPPABASHI, yanaka cemetary, and daikan plaza, broadway mall in nakano, etc. and there's the free catfight on thursday, and the last department h ever (pervert carnival) on um what is it??? saturday night. that should be mega. but i am not going. that's the calendar for this week anyway.

Re: OK, I am here now
Cheers for that. My guidebook seems to gloss over Nakano. I was going to to Roppongi Saturday night, but if it is going to be my only chance to catch Department H...
Where is department H and the catfight held anyway, you always seem to be taken to these places by 'the manager'?
