A new sheriff in town...
I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU! to the moderators for cleaning up the ugly situations that, in my opinion, nearly ruined this board over the past few months. I don't think I am the only one who got tired of reading all of the fighting and back stabbing. As a result, I just stayed away. Today is the first time I have visited for quite some time and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Thanks again for the unending and thankless work you do here.

Specify. Topfree will be permitted on boards with the tacit consent of Runboard. Nude will go into the members-only board which complies with Runboard's wishes. What problem do you foresee? How will this trigger the conflicts Thumpermoto now feels have been mitigated?

Topfree photos have never been a problem, and I don't foresee new ones being a problem.
If you remember, those conflicts all occurred after the board was nearly shutdown for having easily accessable nude photos. Members turned on each other based on gender, with many of the women advocating that men not be allowed on the board.
Since all of the posts related to the closure and reopening of the board appear to have been deleted, it's a little difficult to quote particulars, but I seem to recall that there were more restrictions than just a members-only board. Even direct links were banned. If I remember right, the nude baord was to be available to members who were already on the board when it was restricted, or members who could prove their age.
Maybe the board now requires that age proof. Since I was already a member, I don't know if that requirement has been added. If it was not added, then it gets back to the same thing that nearly got it deleted before -- minors being able to access the nude photos.
I don't believe for a minute that the Runboard staff monitors these boards so closely that they found the pictures on their own. Someone here -- possibly a member -- complained. Who thinks that's not going to happen again? Personally, I enjoy this board and I don't want to see it shut down.
Just a gentle reminder, too, that one of the "new sheriffs" was the one who started the nude thread that nearly got the board deleted before, and is also the one who brought it up again. Ban me or censure me if you want, but I think it was pretty dumb to make the person who caused the problem a moderator.

you should leave the moderating up to the moderators. robert has done a great job, and i think most people on this board will disagree with you. a nude photo thread is a good idea, as long as we follow runboard rules. i think runboard staff did find it on their own. there aren't many boards on runboard that are about nudity, so it isn't hard to watch out for stuff like that. i doubt very much someone complained.
if i remember correctly, roberts picture was fine, since it didn't show genitals. you shouldnt be so quick to place blame. the whole situation was a misunderstanding.

I am a woman who raised questions about the amount of male participation. I never said no men -- My perspective that the board was becoming dominated by make voices. I feel there has been more self control. It WAS hard for me as a woman to have discussions about the challenges of being topfree with so many men chiming in.

As memory serves, SunFun's description of those events appears to be a more-accurate and a widely-felt perception than does Newdguy's. I certainly don't recall a single post saying to ban all men. I simply don't see a burgeoning problem here.
I don't plan to alter posts in any way unless they violate Rumboard/Topfree! rules. This includes "Posts must show respect to all other members of the message board community." This would not include criticizing some members for being overbearing as long as these opinions do not include personal attacks. Members who feel discomfort at criticism that does not reach the level of disrespect are free to leave the forum at any time.

Maybe you should leave the moderating up the moderators. I made an observation, and I believe it was a valid one. I never mentioned Robert's picture, only that he started the thread. If you had read my post, you would have realized that that.
