I got my first swim thong yesterday, I dont think I've got the confidence to wear it yet as I worry what people will think of a 18 year old male wearing one. I intend to wear it under my swim shorts on holiday, hopefuly by this time next year I'll have worn it on the beach, hopefully with a girlfriend that wears thong bikinis.

This is an easy one for me as I bought my first thongs today. It's cold and windy in Sydney, but I took myself to the Wicked Weasel shop to help me think of summer.
I bought a singlet dress and beach pants there a couple of weeks ago. The thongs looked sexy, so I thought it might be hard to resist.
I recently found the contributors competition on the WW site and noticed there's quite a few old chicks (like me) wearing thongs. Not that I needed much encouragement, but I figured if these chicks can brave public internet scrutiny in a thong I'm ready to hit the Sydney beaches this summer in simliar attire.
I've just arrived home with a pair of the surf shots and a string backed hipster. Just need some good weather and I'll be ready to tell you about my first day on the sand!!!

You "old chicks" are the ones I love to see on the WW site. It is wonderful to see women so confident with themselves. It's very sexy to see attitude and confidence flaunted just as much as skin!
I'm wishing really hard for that warm weather at the moment. Anything below 25celcius just isn't right!

With out a doubt you are superwoman and my newest hero. I really enjoy reading your posts. You are a lot further along than me. I am going slow but maybe with a little more courage, I too will try a thong. I went to the WW web site ... wow, it would be a huge step for me to wear one. I have worn a lot of string bikinis over the years but never anything like a WW.

Heh there Bcup. Thanks for the feedback. Take a look at the surf shorts, they're a little less revealing than some of the other gear. I figure I'll wear the surfshorts on debut and then work up to the string hipster. Who knows from there!!!!

I got my first thong swimsuit when I was in high school. I liked wearing a speedo so much I wanted to take it to the next level. I ordered a "posing suit" out of a weight lifting magazine. It was actually closer to a rio than a thong back.
The company called about my order one afternoon to tell me they were out of the color I had selected. Thank gosh I answered the phone and not my parents! I picked white as my second choice. The woman on the phone asked: "White will be almost sheer if it gets wet...Are you sure? " I just answered "Yeah......"
I got the biggest thrill from wearing that suit in public. And yes, I did get it wet many times.

I think you've got a lot of courage in choosing Wicked Weasel - Manly Beach is very nice -
It's the next stage from a string bikini - step by step and confidence.
I've not been on many Beach holidays - but hope to amend this. I wear thongs as underwear but haven't been to the beach in one.
I have been to Byron Bay - though not surfing - just to relax for a week.
