Well, I like C.O. beaches as much as anyone, but I still have several 23" board shorts. Why? Because of board sports I do, like surfing, windsurfing, etc. They really were invented to keep you from getting bad cases of board rash when you're waiting around for that next wave...

It may not be the embarrassment so much as the discomfort. It can be positively painful to have an raging erection while wearing very bikini underwear or Speedo-type swimsuit. That's one of the reasons I prefer boxer shorts or boxer swim trunks, if anything at all.
