The minds of most men work this way, "If my girlfriend is cool with it, then I am cool with it." So girls, if your man likes you to be in a topless in a thong then you have the right, no the obligation, to ask him to do the same.
And Guys, You know how many girls are worried about wearing a thong because they think they don't have the figure for it. Are you allways saying supportive things like, "I think you look hot in a thong" or "you look fine and should go topless here." .... Same applies to you. You do not need to look like a model to strip down and accompany your girlfriend.

I think men (and women) should wear thongs if they want to - it's really up to the individual. Having said that, men (and women) look better if they have cute butts Just my 2 cents.

I wear a thong under my speedo at the beach. I love wearing them because it's the least amount I can legally wear in the sun and the water. Based on the looks, yells and whistles I've from some women, they approve. I try to stay fit. I understand where you are coming from regarding seeing the negative sterotypical older man who is way overweight with a hairy back and not wanting to see him in a speedo. So I don't look at him, lol . It's still his right to wear them though.
Being in shape means you will look good in whatever you wear and I'm conscious of that. I really don't care if others don't approve of me wearing a speedo. It's my life and it's what I want to wear. To each his or her own. If I knew I wouldn't get reprimanded, I'd wear a thong at the beach. And I wish I had access to a nude beach. I'm uninhibited about my body. That's just me.

How do you know you will be reprimanded? Probably not, give it a try!
Yes men need a push. Yes fit looking people, both men and women, look better.... All men think that they would prefer to see GOOD looking women in thongs, and women think they would like to see GOOD looking men in thongs, but you should just accpet that not all people are good looking and it is their choice. Just like it's your choice, just do it.
The reasion you get quite a few older men in speedos and thongs is because speedos were in fassion when they were young, and now they are older they are more confident and less worred about what others will say.
It's the yonger board short generation who have to get smart and figure they have freedoms too.

Absolutely no apoplogies whatsover over making this comment. Men in binkinis "boollocks!" (bollocks = rubbish to north american site members. Men were using one pice swimming costumtes years before the female 2-piece (named after an American atom bomb tests) was invented. One has been bemused by this thread since it was introduced. It should correctly be named "Men In Speedos" and for the record that's the most I wear despite not having the body for them.

I am glad to see such a positive response on this topic. I usually wear a Speedo type bikini while at home, if I wear anything at all, but going to the beach has always been trunks. So, maybe I need to try the thong at home and the bikini at the beach?? Does anybody have any good websites for Thongs?? Please foward them to me if you do...Thanks.

Sorry mate, you are the one that is wrong. Speedo is actually a brand name that has been assosiated with a product, just as those from the UK would call a vaccuum cleaner a 'Hoover'. The Speedo brand originated in Australia, and now has American owners. They are made in many styles and brands, and are actually called 'bikini briefs'.

An ex-fiancee gave me "the push" to wear a bikini brief swimsuit. I spend a lot of time on the water during the boating season, and I like the tan line. Personally, I love aussieBums, as opposed to Speedo.
Sorry, though. You won't find me sportin' a thong swimsuit! It's either the aussieBum or nothing when I'm on the water!
