Re: Bad news for the guys
Oh, Nicci! I know you're right for most of our country...but we have guy friends who enjoy wearing thongs and g-strings...BECAUSE their women friends ask them to loosen up and show more of their bodies.
Okay, women...you know how guys will basically do what we ask. If we ask them to wear smaller swimsuits, many will. If we buy them thongs and g-strings, they'll at least wear them in more private situations.
If we don't ask, our guys won't change. What is our problem? You know all we have to do is ask! Well, that's my opinion, anyway. Just ask...you might be surprised!

Re: Bad news for the guys
Dear Moni,
I agree very much with you!!! If we want to see more from our guys we have to take it in our own hands (in a double sense ) Otherwise we can long wait for it.
Btw: My hubby is wearing thongs or at least smaller swimsuits, too. Not only because of my "asking" - but I said to him in plain German that I don´t want to see him in swimshorts and that I´ve the right to see the skin of a male which I married.
Love,
yours Nicci

Re: Bad news for the guys
>Traditionally women's dress has been designed to feature assets and men's dress to conceal faults.
And the corollary, generally men like to see women in as few clothes as possible while usually women like to dress up their men as much as possible. The latter becomes the more difficult to do the less fabric you have to work with.
I actually am typical that way and enjoy seeing my husband dressed up. However, he does prefer minimal smimwear and he's got the body to pull it off, so I go with it. Honestly, I'm with the survey and some other posters in that a thong isn't for every (well, most) guys and while I support anyone wearing whatever you like (or nothing at all), let's just say with a lot of guys I wouldn't be encouraging many of them to head in the minimal swimwear direction. For them, to me nude would actually be more aesthetically pleasing.

I think as Womyn gain more power and move towards equality they will be demanding that thier men dress in ways that they find appealing. The current fashion for baggy shorts must be very anti Womyns desire to see the male form.I remember that football shorts in the eightees were very tight.
So refreshing to see you Nicci72 demanding your husband fulfil his side of the bargain in marriage.you indeed have every right to see as much naked flesh as possible.
The males genitals are on the outside and more prominent for a reason and having clothing that reveals or shows the contours of all the body is only natural.
Glad to see that you exercise your right to "take it in your own hands" when you feel the need to.

Here's a link to a traditional tribal garb, a Koteka Penis sheath.
Edited ... link removed because it was causing page to display too wide.
Maybe it will catch on with this baggy falling off pants generation???

Re: Bad news for the guys
I hate the baggy board shorts and refuse to wear them, but you're not going to see me in a thong or Speedo anytime soon either. I just don't look good in Speedos, and I don't think I'd want a thong up my butt all day.
Give me either short, boxer-style trunks or nothing at all (preferably nothing at all).

I don't know about "Womyns" but I do know about the female of our species, women, and, like it or not, generally for some guys they would prefer to see less of their form, and for others maybe more. And, for aesthetic reasons (which are separate from reasons of freedom for a guy to wear whatever, or not anything, he likes, which I think most if not all women here support), we appreciate those guys who wear attire that makes them look most aesthetically pleasing, whether that be board shorts, minimal swimwear, or nothing.

Re: Bad news for the guys
Ockay,
we "Caucasians" have taken the tattoo business from the Pacific Islands, now let us take the males beachwear from there, too!!!
Btw: God has done a good job to give the males this part of their body and so we want to see it and to imagine how it feels...!!!
Love,
Nicci

Re: Bad news for the guys
For those of us men who do workout and stay fit so we look good wearing a thong the 75% is a disappointing stat. I've worn a thong on an urban public beach on Lake Michigan with a group of people and seen only a small number of men not wearing long board shorts. Even though I workout, I'm still quite self-conscience of my body, especially showing it off in a thong. I've asked the women in the group about my thong, and I've always gotten positive comments and support. I guess these women are in the 25%. I'm always careful when and where I wear a thong, but refuse to stop just because of a survey result.
