I agree that perhaps for me wearing a thong would be a little show offish and conceited.However if my girl wanted me to wear them I would not say no.
I have used the term Womyn as in Feminist circles having the word men in women sort of just exemplifies why Womyn are thought of as adjuncts to men.

I tried to teach my kids to dress well and told them that in any given group we want to be in the top 25% best dressed. I'd say in the survey, that would be the thongers.
Not surprised at the thong-no/skinny dip-okay attitude, though, as it's always seemed to me that nude is about how you feel while thongs are about how you look. I'm a bit overweight right now and avoid my thongs but still enjoy a nude beach.
Of course, since there are more places to thong, that's the incentive I'm using to get back in shape.

No, not really. It exemplifies why feminists of that stripe are thought of as loons and not taken seriously.
It's even more odd that a male would adopt that custom. If it's truly a feminist preference, then keep your testosterone-poisoned hands off. (After all, knows where those hands have been? They might even have touched a p-e-n-i-s.)
Feminists don't need you - or any other male - to protect them. Sounds rather paternalistic to me.

Just having read the last few notes in a number of threads I feel compelled to make the comment that if I was femsup, I'd probably have the feeling one gets as one sits in one's foxhole and watches as an enemy barrage walks across the landscape, right towards ME! OMG!!!
Sorry, but I can't help but chuckle since I think of the impending doom as self-inflicted...

Thats alright I will always take flack because the world is basically a patriarchal one and if you go against taht you are going to get flack.i in no way want to run or command Feminism so when I support Womyn in their endeavours to be free it is just that support not command.
Womyn don't need to be controlled if anything I think its the other way round.

I got "caught" by the 25% at the beach today. This beach on Lake Michigan is family friendly and often has teenage hecklers walking near the water, so I laid out in the dune area for some privacy and to not upset the status quo. About 15 min before I planned to leave I noticed 2 high school aged girls searching the dunes for stones. They paused behind me, partially out of view. When I got up to leave they also left. Since I was laying on my front, I suspect they were watching me. No rude Ewww or anything like that, at least that I could hear. A good day tanning my butt!

I don't care what teenagers think either. But it is hard for teenagers not to care what other teenagers think, and teenagers are almost as ruthless in enforcing conformity to their standards as are the Taliban. That is why nearly all of them wear bras all the time, no matter how uncomfortable or ugly-looking they are.

Teens are tough on teens, and teens re rough on their parents, and teens are tough on their teachers, and even the pizza guy.
Teens are also attempting to become adults. Since adults either know it all, or pretend they do, teens adopt this attitude too.
So it's totally unrealistic to expect teens not to be tough on you when you are wearing a thong. That said, you should not don't be offended by them for one day they will grow up, grow out of it and become regular people. Well most of them at least. A few may never get over it and they grow up to become rednecks or church ladies, who amusingly often marry each other, with predictable consequences.
Just ignore teens, they soon get board and move away.
