Too much exposure
For the first time ever, someone objected to what I was wearing (or not wearing). My fiance and I went to a pool party over the weekend. I wore a bikini bottom and a white tank top (only), and I took off the tank top as I got into the pool. Sometimes when I do that others will take their tops off too. At least nobody has ever objected.
This time, the hostess, who was wearing a conservative one-piece, was not amused and asked me to put the tank back on, which I did, but of course it turned mostly transparent from my wet body. Guess I won't get invited back there again.

Haha yes her loss for sure! Did anyone else seem to care? I don't see what the big deal is obviously like you said when you put the tank top back on you could see right through it anyways.

That hostess shouldve known what to expect when she has people like you there who enjoy going topfree. I mean if shes gonna swim with the sharks she shouldnt be surprised if she gets bit. If I was at a party like that and I was told to put a shirt on by a hostess I wouldve just kept it off and told her if she doesnt like it then shes gonna have to throw me out, that way she makes a total ass of herself and causes a big scene and in the end just alienates the other guests. I mean what sort of moron tells a woman to wear a top at a pool party? I dont induldge people like that. Nobody respects that kind of person.

However, I believe that if you're a guest, you pretty well have to go along with what the host or hostess says when it comes to enjoying their pool and/or hot tub.
You always have the option of leaving or declining future invitations.
Just my take.

...could be... But I think the main point for Carly was to get rid of any upwards textiles to enjoy the sun and the water topless.
