I like the concept. But does it really work? I'd like to see it successfully done by other plastic surgeons.

Re: Implants
The article describes a three-year follow up study that indicates that it works. The article also discusses other surgeons that are using the procedure.

Re: Implants
This "follow up" is done by the doctor himself.
He has a vested interest in the Brava product and in the procedure itself. Certainly not an unbiased source.
According to what I found on the internet, Brava costs over $2,000. Of course you need to wear plastic suction domes over your breasts for at least 10 hours per day for a few weeks. You may gain a half size for a while but they will eventually return to their original size.
The article mentions that " a Harvard doctor picked up the procedure and has done several surgeries this way." No name mentioned. Surgical results were what?
Can you "rent" one of these devices for a few weeks before the lipo and never need it again?
I certainly hope this technique can be duplicated and becomes available. Time will tell.

Re: Implants
I think it would be a long time before I am sold on this. I have a hard time believing in their ability to sculpt an aesthetically pleasing breast this way. And I also wonder whether it can be used in conjunction with a lift (one of the more popular combinations) the way an implant can. Although, I have to admit it'd be nice to avoid putting silicone in your body.

Re: Implants
Liposuction is still a very dangerous operation.
One of my wife's friends had it done two years ago.She almost died from the procedure.

Re: Implants
All operations are inherently dangerous. I know this all to well, as a friend of mine died following a fairly routine surgery. She survived the operation, but died from the medication. ANY surgery opens up about half a billion possible things that can go wrong.

Re: Implants
The key is to have a top surgeon. I did when I got my implants, had no problems, and I couldn't be happier with them.
