Florida west coast
Any member know of any leagal nude beaches or resorts on Floida's west coast. I have heard of a few beaches that look the other way on nudity and an island off the south west coast, but I can't get a definate answers and I don't want to get in trouble or arrested.....Thanks!

Sanibel Naturists have a secret island that is nude.
Fort Desoto park has a stretch of beach where people regularly thong and some women go topless.

Sanibel Naturists say they have some private land on Cayo Costa at the South end. I don't know where they're talking about though. We've been up there by boat a number of times. It's only accessible by boat and the North part of the island is State Park. Last week we were there and found our own private sandbar in Boca Grande Pass, so I went topless there. It wasn't a "legal" thing, more of a "there's nobody else around" type of thing.

Are you down this way often?? Do you have a boat?? I heard there is a private nude island off the coast of Fort Myers Beach, but I don't have a boat to find out...Let me know.....

I have gone topless on Egmont Key off St. Petersburg. It can only be reached by boat.

We get down maybe once a year. My father in-law has a boat. With the boat you can go topless a lot just because there's nobody around to catch you (although I'm not aware of anyplace it's actually legal to be topless).

I've been told by someone that owns a house on Sanibel that the Island behind (to the west) is nude. I've never been there so I can't say this for sure but he swore it was nude.

Island sequence...
Sanibel; Captiva(There basically attached. Just a small pass that they are re-opening that separates them); the come North Captiva(split by Charley); then comes Cayo Costa.
I have walked the south end of Cayo Costa. It is somewhat remote but boat traffic a problem if you wish to go undetected. It would probably be easy to lay out on a towel but walking the beach would be the problem. Also, if you could go on a weekday, you are less likely to see anyone.
Topfreedom would be much less likely to be reported.

I don't know about nude beaches but FL does have several nudist resorts where you can be topfree. Caliente in Tampa is amazing. You can be naked, get a massage, a body wrap and a facial. I'm not even a girly girl but I felt like one when I did the spa stuff there.

Yeah, that was our experience. We headed out of Captiva, and my friend and I took our tops off once we were clear of Captiva on the Gulf side. We rode past N. Captiva topless, but with tops available to go back on if necessary. My husband was the one who'd heard about the Sanibel Naturists' supposed spot on the South end of Cayo Costa. However, when we got near there, it became clear that there were just a million people, beached boats, and fishing boats drifting the pass near shore there. We were about to put our tops back on when my husband said he thought we should head North, so we headed up to the North end of Cayo Costa, which is the state park. We found it pretty well deserted and stayed topless the whole day, although we had tops available to put on if necessary. We have seen a DNR cop on a boat up there once, so you need to be prepared to get a top on quick if one approaches (although it would be pretty hard for them to sneak up on you).
