I´ll start this Friday a holiday trip to Eivissa, Spain, for a little bit more than two weeks (until August, 30th). I think it´s not necessary to say that there´s no place left over in my suitcase for a bikini-top. I will try to give a short trip report after returning.

P.S.: I will do my vacation this year as a "two-girls-trip" together with my mummy - no need for males. I fear mummy will bring both parts of her bikini´s to Eivissa - but I promise I´ll do my best to put their upper parts so often as possible out of use. When mummy is on vacation and no acquaintance in sight she tends fortunately to lose her conservatism which she maintains at home

Enjoy yourself, Nicci! I usually don't bother to take tops to the beach either. Nor does my mom - who do you think got ME started?
A few years ago I was in Moorea/Bora Bora for Christmas. Their was a cute story in the local newspaper by a local Tahitian girl who said that she owned lots of bikini bottoms but had only one suit with BOTH a top and a bottom. The only use she could think of for her single top was to hang it on the Christmas tree so Santa would have a place to deliver her gifts.

Dear Gina,
I was for years a "three-minutes-top-user" - when I moved into my swimwear I took my top always on - than I walked, clothed in this "normal way", to my spot at the swimming pool or at the beach - puted down my beachbag - spreaded off my towel - and took off my top, so that my nude boobs were ready for getting some sunprotection. My "top-using-time" was always round about three minutes.
But because my top came really always down and my boobs stayed than always nude for the rest of the time there I started to find it annoying to tie up first all the strings of my top only to unfasten them three minutes later and to shed my top again. So I questioned me: Why I´m doing so as if I wanted to wear the full bikini but just to be bareboobed than for the whole time? And since than I puted my bikini tops totally out of use. Today I don´t even own a bikini top - nearly so as the Tahitian girl.
With your mummy you had in this issue obviously more good luck than I. In fact I´ve still to "teach" my mummy about toplessness, not to talk from the other way around...

I´m just back - brrr, after being in an environment with nearly 40 degree Celsius it feels pretty cold here in Germany with only round about 18 degree Celsius...
I´ll bring my promised report so early as possible.

18 Celsius is about 64 Fahrenheit. That has been about our daytime temperature here in Maine the last several days. This is a little colder than usual for this time of year.
