Just spent the last week on the Outer Banks.
Had a great time and no trouble being topfree at Cocina Beach and on Ocracoke.
Cant wait to go back.

took a day trip to the outer banks this weekend, stayed in a room at the southern end of nags head. This was the first time I went topfree. I did have one woman approach me, giving her opinion that this is a family place and displaying myself like that with children on the beach was inappropriate. So I took a break, came back to the beach later without any problems. I think during the weekdays would be more enjoyable, with less crowds.

My wife and I recently spent a long weekend at Ocracoke. At one of the ramps there was a lot of topfreedom and even full nudity in one section. However, we spoke with someone that had a friend ticketed in Avon for nudity. At the ramp we were at a Ranger drove right by everyone and did not even stop. We also saw some thongs at the same ramp farther away from the more free area. We have been here last year with the same results.

Was back at Cocina Beach last weekend (Aug 17-18). Spent most of 2 days topfree without any problems. A few stares on Saturday when the beach was a little more crowded.
The sad thing is, I wont have another chance to get down there until October

I was at the C beach last weekend...a 30 knot wind had the flags standing straight, and not a good day for the beach at all (unless you like sandblasting). This weekend might be OK. There are precious few weeks left for the season!

If yhr forecast holds, Friday should be a great day on the beach. But, it is a 2.5 hour drive to Coquina beach from my place, so before leaving in the morning, will check the weather reports. No sunshine=no go. Otherwise, hope to see some friends around 11 to 3 on Friday.
