Re: Blackpool F C
The number of times the likes of Cardiff and WBA have busted my coupon sums up the division (though admittedly Stokes 1-0 win at Spurs was the worst)
Can North End or pool head into any fixture having a clue what the result will be?

Re: Blackpool F C
The Nobbers weren`t bad from what I saw of the second half last night, but if `Pool play well, and with the vocal crowd we have, compared to their library, there`s only one winner!

Mawene picked up medial ligament knee damage last night and will most likely not be playing next Monday. So, without his goals in your above statement, we may struggle to win 4-1!

Re: Blackpool F C
It really is in the balance....we showed enough on Monday...Lashers going well... I do fear for us though without Youl.....Chilvers lacks strength and prescence.
Hate to say it but Pool' just have the edge.

Re: Blackpool F C
I was at the PNE game on Monday (I was stood in the noisy end) Newcastle's support are mental and PNE support appeared very quiet...
Also I have to say a lot of empty seats at PNE and while they huffed and puffed the long ball never really threatened (few good saves by Harper tho)
Draw was a fair result imo
So is it the credit crunch or do PNE not usually sell out?

Re: Blackpool F C
Kevin Nolan's touch of class proved to be the difference but then I imagine his payslip reflects that, he should be producing that at Championship level.
I am a North End fan but don't go on very often, and I don't consider living in Chester an excuse. I certainly would struggle to afford to go on in the current climate (I work in property marketing).
What I'm saying is maybe I shouldn't comment as I don't go on but I think our fans are very fickle and have unrealistic expectations with the amount of support the board can give the manager with 12,000 or less on. we are doing no worse than at any point in the last half a dozen years yet the crowds dwindle and the moaning gets worse.
We have been very fortunate/impressive with our recruitment of managers and I would fear for us if we don't keep finding the likes of Moyes and Irvine.

Re: Blackpool F C
Fair enough Roey - tis true about property - famine and feast for you guys!!!
PNE aren't a bad side (imo) they had some good honest players but the long ball was over used and the strikers (excluding Mellor - who missed a few chances) looked like typical big target men (sorry for no names!) Keeper looked ordinary as well and had a weak kick!!
I have to say the £20 was good price I thought?!? Even tho I didn't get a seat as the Geordies just all pile into one space!!
The brawl at half time and Smith verses your centre half (number 6) was defo value for money!
To add context - I am a Liverpool fan (bad times!) but took family along with friends... Think my tickets for the Fiorentina game are worthless now thanks to Rafa's master plans! Think you right about gettin right man at the helm!!
