Bet there's a few sore heads this morning!!! Sorry to see HP go, it was always a good local rivalry for us. Any news on a new ground?

Re: It was good whilst it lasted.
Im not really sure what the future holds for Harris park the club, apparently theres very positive things happening towards us getting a new ground, however i dont know any details. One thing i have heard though, is that Preston 3rds and 4ths will be playing on Harris Park next year, now i know that Bhlock offered our chairman the job of chairman at Preston cricket club when he put the offers forward for us leaving the ground, and i know that Bhilock has some involvment with Preston cricket club, so he has basicly kicked us off to let Preston cricket club have the ground for there teams. In my opionon this is total horse **** and Bhilock needs his head shoving up his arse, yesterday was a horrible day, having to say goodbye to the ground was very hard, and to find out about Preston cricket club is nothing more than kicking a man when he's down!

If thats right Tricky then yes it sucks. I know both Preston 3's and 4's play in the FCL and have to play home games on Sundays so I can see where this has come from.

Re: It was good whilst it lasted.
That does sound like poor form. Preston have coped with 4 teams on one ground for the past 3-4 years, and unless they are planning to move the 3rd XI into the PS (and I don't think they are) I don't see why they'd need to change
I don't know how long it's been in Bhilok's plans, but there's been a change of guard for the Preston committee in the last few months anyhow - following Dave Wilson's death last year, local businessman Ilyas Patel became chairman (even though he had no previous association with the club) he soon fell out with people and left - they only elected a new chairman around a fortnight ago at their AGM, which was initially going to be Keith Kaye, but some last minute vote canvassing brought about the election of Younus Patel.
Not sure who the Bhilok connection is, but if it was Ilyas, then he's no longer part og the Preston set up

Re: It was good whilst it lasted.
bhiloks, patels, masters and salya, there all the same family..
Ilyas is Bhiloks accountant, Younus i havn't heard of, but he will be related to Bhilok, ether way whats happening is total bull shat!
If preston did apply to have a team in the PS playing on Harris Park after having us kicked off, i would hope that the league would take a negative view of the application!

Must have been a grim day all around, especially when the result from Penwortham came in.
Good luck, Lee.

Re: It was good whilst it lasted.
Have the league given you a deadline for you to find somwhere else, and/or is it feasible that you might live on in some other sort of guise......?
Ps I thought UCLAN used to own it?

Younus Patel's been involved at Preston for years - as far as I know he has no connection to Bhilok. He certainly doesn't have anything to do with Ilyas.

Re: It was good whilst it lasted.
Aren't Preston something to do with why the NL affiliated clubs have to apply for re-election every year? I might be wrong but I heard the re-election was because one NL club messed the league about (and I don't think it was us!)
Unfortunately we all got tarred with the same brush!
If it was Preston - and they do seek to gain readmission using HP's old ground, I'd hope the league would tell them where to go!
