Where to go for repairs

Hi,
I am looking for a place to take my 1998 New Beetle for some service. It sounds weird and had some water in the oil at its last change. Anyway, I wanted to know if it is best to take it to the dealer or if there are any other good places to take it in Memphis?

THanks!
