VW 3-wheeler $5K
Custom made VW trike, this in not a kit and IS one-of-a-kind. Fabricated with sheet metal and black iron pipe for the body, and square steel tube for load bearing connections. This is all welded, no bolted on body parts or rivited areas. Everything about this trike is custom, down to the stainless steel gas tank. Autometer ultra-light gauges (speed, 10k tack, oil pressure, gas and volt) Aftermarket 17" rims with new tires. Springer front end, not a motorcycle front end welded to a body, machined triple trees with machine springs/teflon washers. Manual transmission with hydraulic clutch, side shift not between your legs like other cheap trikes. Aftermarket grips, mirrors, Drag Specialties headlight and turn signals. Seats are cloth with 3" padding and they both tilt forward for easy acess to engine. Power is turned on with a key but it is a "push to start" type ignition. Luggage rack that is removeable with rubber grommets, also have a wing to mount on it also. Acceleration is controlled with the motorcycle grips like a bike, brakes and clutch are pedals. Every moving part of this trike is brand new, nothing was over looked. It is currently licenced in North Carolina.
The transmission was remanufactured by a NASCAR transmission builder for Hendrick motorsports and the engine has an oil leak, missing an oil drain nut is where it's comming from. Dual carbs and an altinator conversion - header and stinger pipe on a 1600 cc engine. I will come off the price $1500 if I keep the engine and tranny.
