I found the clack I think I took my 71 Westy bus by Faulk's as you all reccomended and they concured that the noise was bad. So today as I said I pulled the engine and the head on the noisy side and found that the piston was hitting the head! I think I can shim up the cyl. and all will be well. Thanks for the help....
Re: I found the clack I think Actually the real problem was the head on that side had a recessed area where the cyl sealed against it, instead of a raised area like the other head. I've ordered 2 new 043 heads for $90ea., as I discovered the heads I had were not the right ones for my bus anyway....Anyone need a good used head?
