Sharing ideas/tips on the Classic Coin Ladder
I guess this would be the appropriate site for this topic, though not sure why posts have been infrequent. Anyways, as an owner of a Wolf Classic Coin Ladder, I thought it would be nice for my fellow 11 owners (or any coin magic aficionado is most welcome, too) to post their ideas and tips on this remarkable apparatus.
I have just recently started to get into coin magic (have always been a card man), so have limited knowledge on the subject and I could learn something with this thread.
I have already decided to use 1921 Morgans for the Ladder, instead of Eisenhowers... much more classy, plus I happen to have a Lassen magnetic Morgan to replace the gimmicked Eisenhower that came with the Ladder. I would be interested in other people's ideas for the "coins out of air" first phase to the routine with the Ladder, that is, sleight of hand versus choice of gimmicks/gaffs.

Brass Polish/Cleaners for the Ladder
OK, I will second my first post with some info I found. One thing owners will notice is that the brass will start tarnishing in small spots rather quickly. Chance recommends BRASSPOLISH by BrassFinders, I believe, on the DVD that accompanied the Ladder. I didn't see the polish on the site (hope it's the correct one), so may need to contact them directly or, I believe, Chance offered to sell it.
I definitely want a polish/cleaner that will not abrade the brass and I found two other plausible options (though I have never used either, but these sound promising):
1 - COBRA BRASS CLEANER availble at Lee Valley
2 - NEVR-DUL BRASS POLISH available at Viking/CW

Re: Sharing ideas/tips on the Classic Coin Ladder
Just ordered an 8oz bottle of BRASSPOLISH (from BrassFinders) as specifically recommended by Chance for the Coin Ladder. It's $12.00 for those who are interested...
Toll Free: 800-777-5089
Added info...total on this product with shipping to Southern California (from Washington state) came to $18.80 - a bit steep for shipping charge, but hope it's worth it.

Re: Sharing ideas/tips on the Classic Coin Ladder
Hey there, I thought I would chime in. The final phase can be also finished a 2nd way. In my handling I start with a single coin that turns into many..classic misers dream plot..but at the end when I pour out the glitter which is suppossed to be the coins a single coin plops out instead of the jumbo coin. This lends completion to the dream portion of the misers dream....I hope this all makes sense. Brian C

Re: Sharing ideas/tips on the Classic Coin Ladder
I just got one and I love it ! Its much taller than I thought. The only issue I have is the coins bounce out of the glass every now and then .. I am now searching for something to go on the bottom of the glass to help stop the bounce...anyone else have the issue ? It is a true work of art and I am a proud owner . I will put a good 2 months before this one goes into the show .
